Pulau Langkawi vacation 2014 (Part 2)

5) Telaga Harbour Park @ Pantai Kok Langkawi

Pantai Kok is on the western part of the island approximately 20 mins from the Langkawi airport and it's almost 45mins drive from Kuah town. Pantai Kok fronts a beautiful bay that is surrounded by limestone hills and lush green jungle. On the waterfront, is the Telaga Harbour Park, a yachting marina with a string of shops, bars, restaurants and a petrol station (Petronas).

This is the marina for yachts at Perdana Quay in Telaga Harbour Park. Some of these yachts are really big . As I was strolling along the wharf, the scenery was so nice! It's really relaxing and you can just disconnect yourself from the life of hustle and bustle city.

6) Oriental Village Langkawi

Located in Pantai Kok towards Langkawi’s western side (past the airport at Padang Matsirat) the Oriental Village is usually busy with visitors. Most tours of the island include trips to the complex, especially since this is where the ticket booth for the Cable Car is. It is a themed open-air complex with a huge lake in the centre and an art gallery, animal exhibits, clothes, souvenir and handicraft stores spread out around it plus a few local and international restaurants.

7)  Langkawi Cable Car

Langkawi cable car is located on the southwest coast of Langkawi island. There are 3 stations along the cable car line, i.e. Base, Middle and Top Station. The cable car ride will bring you all the way up to about 708 meters above sea level. Langkawi claims to have the steepest cable car in the world. We didn’t believe it until we went up ourselves! They are often closed due to strong wind and once you are up there you can see why they prefer to shut it down when the wind picks up.

During the cable car ride, you can really enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding lush green rainforests, the Telaga Tujuh waterfall, the ocean and some of the pristine islands that make up the Langkawi Island cluster. I must say, if you are planning to go Langkawi, this Langkawi Cable Car ride is really worth visiting! Because, over here you can enjoy spectacular views of Langkawi island.

8)  Pantai Cenang Langkawi

Pantai Cenang is Langkawi’s main vein and is Malaysia’s most developed west-coast beach. Its shores are a gorgeous mix of white sand, crystalline turquoise-blue waters and verdant palms. Pantai Cenang is a haven for tourist shopping as the entire beach road is lined with shops and stalls on both sides. These shops sell mostly souvenirs in the form of fashion accessories, beads, handicrafts and merchandise but there are also many convenience stores. On the other hand, you can visit the zon Duty-Free Shopping Complex in Underwater World Langkawi.

Situated just around the southern road bend of Pantai Cenang, Pantai Tengah is a basically a continuation of Pantai Cenang. It is the longest stretch of beach in Langkawi.
